Celebrate Lewis County
Washington
Come celebrate life in Lewis County, where yesterday's charm mingles with today's inspiring arts, exhilirating landscapes and a unique, rich history as Washington's first county.
Glorious Mount Rainier. Awe-inspiring Mount St. Helens. Thickly forested wilderness. Pristine streams and lush volcano valleys. Charming downtowns and abundant antique shops. Lewis County is brimming with simple pleasures, relaxing excursions and world-class outdoor adventures.
We're just down the road, halfway between Seattle and Portland. Known for the Centralia Factory Outlets at I-5, exit 82, we have much more to offer if you explore a little deeper.
Drive the Old Pacific Highway 99 (now the Jackson Highway) through the vintage downtown centers of Centralia and Chehalis. Dine at Mary McCrank's landmark dinner house. Visit historic sites along the way. Enjoy the past, visit the many antique stores along the way and take a bit of "yesterday" home with you to enjoy "tomorrow"!
Take the White Pass Scenic Byway (Hwy. 12) to Morton, Randle, Packwood and Mount Rainier. Visit DeGoede's tulip fields, Raintree Nursery and other specialty stores. Fish in glacier fed rivers and lakes. Stretch your legs and enjoy world-class bird watching, hike to a waterfall. Pick wild huckleberries. Try your luck at gold panning. Spot a herd of Roosevelt elk, black-tail deer or mountain goats.
